Mimi is a cat, a very special cat. This page is all about Mimi. I adopted Mimi from a woman who was going to move into an apartment that doesn't allow pets. The first time I saw Mimi, she looked so sad. She was about eight months then and was very skinny. From that moment, I said to myself that I would do anything to make her happy. Mimi moved with me, last year, from a two bedroom apartment to a big house. She loves to check every corner of the house. So I appointed her as the watch cat of the house. She's responsible for the security. But all she does during the day is sleep and play at night. Unlike most of the cats who hide from strangers, Mimi always greets our visitors at the door. That's probably one of her ways of performing her cop's duties.

I found out that Mimi's favorite acitivity is playing tag. She loves to chase my husband all over the house and loves to be chased, too. Once you approach her, she'll just run and fall off the face of the earth in no time. As soon as you leave her alone and walk away from her, she'll be after you and pounce on your heels.

Do you know on average, a cat sleeps 16 hours a day? That's a lot of sleep. Mimi's no exception on that. She loves to sleep in our big and comfy bed. Wherever she sleeps, a big dent is created. So it's not difficult to tell in which area she's slept. I love to take a walk in a warm sunny day and I would always bring Mimi along. I put her on a pink leash with her name tag on it. I really hope she walks with me like a dog. But most of the time I have to carry her on the way because she likes to explore the area beyond the sidewalk. I take her to the bank and post office whenever I can. Lately, she seems to be albe to walk more on her own. She's going to be like a cat that walks like a dog. How do you like that?
