I
traveled a lot when I was a college student in China. I made all those
trips by train with my friends. I couldn't afford flying at that time.
Neither could my college friends. My part-time job allowed me to pay for
my trips. For two years, I gave Chinese lessons to some German students.
My
parents always told me how dangerous it could get when traveling by train.
Even so, my friends and I were fearless to get on our journeys. Every
time when I look back, I couldn't believe I actually did all this with
other girls. From getting the train tickets, getting on the train, making
through the journey to coming home, every step involved uncertainty and
some degree of danger. Nothing seemed to be difficult enough to make us
panic or get frustrated at that time.
